In 1956, Charles Tate Sr. began to prepare income taxes for family and friends. After preparing several, he realized his clients were not taking deductions they were entitled. In fact, most of them didn't how to itemize deductions. He decided that this was a service that his community needed. Then he seriously became involved in preparing income taxes. He brushed up on tax laws and took formal training to offer his clients the best services. It did not take long for the word to get out that Mr. Tate was the tax man in the neighborhood. With his day job and raising a family of five, he had his work cut out for him and he realized he could not do it alone. Then two of his sons came to his rescue at the ripe old age of 12 and 13. William and Charles Jr. maintained quality control and double-checked their father's computations, and soon processed income taxes on their own. In 1992 Charles Sr. passed, and his sons upheld his legacy, forming Tate, Tate and Tate Tax Service.

A Co-worker was just asking me where do I get my taxes done... I got excited to share with him... I have been going to Tate.Tate.Tate, Ms. Tajuana Tate has been doing my taxes since 2006. I make my appointments every year before I leave for the next year. Although Tajuana is a busy person, she is worth the wait.. Taxes done on a Tuesday, money in my account by Thursday... Tate, Tate & Tate Tax Service has been doing our taxes for years. Jerome's very unusual. Most accountants take all your "stuff" and do your taxes when they are ready. Then you come back to sign. Jerome always does our taxes during our appointment. This way we take an hour appt. and he asks us questions while he's completing our return. Then we sign and he sends it off and we receive our refund quickly. He always gets us a big refund every year even when we think we will owe. I would recommend Tate, Tate & Tat tax Service. The whole staff is very nice, welcoming and caring.
